Agreed. Where are the numbers for loss compared to other similar stores? Where are the numbers for employee turnover and absenteeism? I’ll bet those numbers would tell us exactly why they gave up on the store.

Good thing they closed the store before it could be looted and burned down.

Wait till all the cops quit. The morons in the state legislature voted to eliminate qualified immunity for cops. It goes live in October.
Cops are already quitting and those that aren’t are just riding around in cars all day.

The elephant in the room no one wants to discuss: the fact that 60% of Black children are born into single-mother households. Layer that with generational welfare and the mentality it creates........

“...challenges that he said were unique to a store in a “hyperurban area.”
Now there’s an interesting way to put it: “hyper urban”. I would think that Tokyo would be considered hyper urban, but I don’t think that’s what Ali means. It’s similar to how ‘diverse’ is now defined.

Protesters began throwing rocks at police officers, and the mall was looted. Some students from Frederick Douglass High School........were caught up in the melee
Poor innocent kids simply "caught up" in the melee.

Not just businesses but anyone with sense and a fear of leftist thuggery and communist corruption that fails to prosecute and instill equal justice moves if they can.

To open a store like Target in an African American neighborhood gave this area legitimacy,” said the Rev. Frank Lance, pastor of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Mondawmin. “When the store closed, it was like saying, ‘You are not worth after all.’”Store opening = indication of area legitimacy; store closing = indication of area worthiness, Rev.? Conflating them does not make legitimacy and worthiness synonymous in a free market. Target said it'll take chance on making a legitimate investment; Area economics, not its innate worthiness, is what proved investment's legitimacy.

More communistic propaganda. Stores are expensive to create. They only get closed if they’re not profitable.

The leftists blame it all on average whitey that wants to go about there lives without crime and all the other stuff. The leftists say nothing about the commies, drugs, pop culture and Hollywood hucksters who fund them and who played a huge part in making the mostly conservative type family oriented law abiding blacks of pre-60s.
