Your revelation seems to parallel what Richard Jewel finally realized. And that was in 1996! Then Ted Stevens, Senator from Alaska - over a decade later railroaded ... Flynn ... Trump.... and a lot of people in between. You are right, it has been going on a long long time. A critical mass of conservatives have awaken to this reality (though some only partially) during the Trump years... this has changed our country forever. ... there total distrust.
As you say, this has been going on for a long time. Now one starts to think what one has been told about certain aspects of history may not be true. For example, despite that Iran’s government is an enemy of Americans, one has to wonder what was done to them by US givernment that may have made them this way.
