Leonard Cohen called it all the way back in the Eighties:

“Everybody knows that the plague is coming,
everybody knows that it’s moving fast,
everybody knows that the naked man and woman,
is just a shining artifact of the past...

Everybody knows that the scene is dead,
but there’s gonna be a meter on your bed
that will disclose...
What everybody knows.”

Hard pass. Already have enough issues with my tablets spying on me. Last week I mentioned something and later on Youtube there was an ad for what I mentioned. Not the first time this had happened. I changed some settings (again) that I hope will fix it.

I already know my sleep is crap anyways. I have severe untreated OSA and I stop breathing over 90 times an hour. Plus I have other sleep issues on top of that.

Your smart refrigerator is watching you.

It figures. The GF is watching me every time I *go* to the refrigerator too!

Look no further than this data-crunching mega data mining outfit based in Cary, NC founded by two billionaires who had a lot to do with taking over the beautiful peaceful rural town of Cary, NC and turning it into a “woke” tech weenie suburb of the capital of NC filled with concerned ultra libs and noseybodies of every stripe— oh, and very “rainbow” LGBTQRXHaveyouhadenoughs....

SAS corporate HQ. Some not so inside info— Walmart contracts with SAS for ALL KINDS of personal datamining (spying just like Amazon)-— with some 30 plus personnel permanently located in the WalMart bunker in Bentonville, AR.
Yes- the bunker... the just in time, and never available shelf stocking/inventory control center.

Don’t use a credit card at Wal-Mart- ever, and get rid of any website membership. To do otherwise is naive.

You can do it. I’ve had to do it for several large computer facilities, the kind that allow no external connections whatsoever. Even the electri power was cleaned before entering. Imagine a Farraday cage 400’x 400’x 66’. Takes a lot of copper mesh. Luckily we got to do this as part of ghe construction effort not as retrofit. The leak checking was interesting.

Ah yes, but when the SHTF they’ll be very easy to identify.

It seems to me the radar function might be equally useful for locating a home’s inhabitants to aid the Swat team’s no-knock warrant invasion.

They can map your home with its occupants real time with wifi. They don’t need this to do that. This is for their prurient interests.

Earlier thread on Amazon’s “sidewalk” feature where you and your neighbors share your internet connections to “enhance” connectivity.

I proposed on a project to do some research on 8 large facilities for Amazon. Huge facilities that would be packed full of computer servers all in the same small town. (One small office area for a few people, two restrooms and a lunch room, the rest of the building was ALL computers).

“Okay - so it will be at one of these locations out of the possible eight?”

“Oh no - they are building all eight and they all need to be studied.”

Will it be used to monitor everyone, neighbors? 2000 watt Arc transmitter will take care of that.

John, you are correct. I rarely use Walmart, but did so during the “mask-erade” insanity of CharlieVictor019 so I would not have to go inside a store. Thanks for the heads up on that outfit. I’ll look into them.

You have to find what you want on the touch screen.
And the touch screen reads your fingerprints, updates your preferences and current locality. Read The Firm about a couple that goes to work in a distribution center much like Amazon's.

"The telescreen recieved and transmitted simultaneously. Any sound Winston made, above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by it; moreover, so long as he remained within the field of vision which the metal plaque commanded, he could be seen as well as heard.

There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment.
How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork.
It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to.

You had to live - did live, from habit that became instinct - in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.
