It’s an acronym for greatest of all time, a title others are supposed to bestow on you, not on yourself. I guess Muhammad Ali did it too.
Now she’s trying to use it as a marketing and merchandising business, apparently.

What is the backstory about GOAT?
She's the only female gymnast to have done several fancy flips, some of which only a few men have even done. The wife likes her a ton cause she used to be in gymnastics, follows every gymnastics competition on TV. Got real mad at me for asking how she can really be the 'greatest' if she just randomly decided she wasn't gonna compete in the middle of the Olympics... Waiting to hear if she was actually injured or something, but doesn't sound like it.
