How did the IC miss this? How did the IC miss the Covid debacle that started in China around September, 2019? How did the IC miss the dangers of having almost 100% of our PPE and pharmaceuticals made in China? How is the IC missing the fact that most of the batteries for electrical vehicles are made and will be made in China?
How did the Military’s top Generals miss all the above? Ditto for the State Department? It seems only Trump and his team know what the heck is going on and willing to do what needs to be done.

There, they waited, helpless, straffed by the Luftwaffe Stukas, as a heroic fleet of Naval and civil vessels brought them across the Channel. This is celebrated today as miracle of divine mercy and heroism. But it was still a disaster. The first days of the war revealed incredible bungling by a bunch of overrated and unprepared generals. And at Dunkirk alone the British lost 180 aircraft, 6 destroyers sunk, 30 badly damaged, passenger ships also sunk. It was so bad that the British Navy ordered their heavy warships to retreat. The British left behind 64,000 vehicles, 80,000 tons of ammunition, and 400,000 tons of equipment and stores. So the English Army, at that point, was effectively disarmed.well, here we are again! Welcome to Kabul, the apogee of The Biden Administration’s brilliant strategy! And did you hear this: Kamala Harris is also taking credit for this great achievement! She said that when all options had been considered SHE was the last person Biden spoke with before issuing his statement and orders. I can’t wait ‘till she’s our Commander and Chief!

In peacetime the military officers who “polish the brass” are promoted. Each war begins with terrible losses attributable to complacent and incompetent leadership. If lucky ,the nation pays dearly until good leaders are installed. If not lucky,the nation is defeated.

Cutting government is a lot easier said than done, especially in a country where about half the people are on the other side.

Understand but they can start by cutting the wasteful overlap and redundancy in the government. Pretty much every department duplicates the work of other departments in various ways. Trust me, there are plenty of opportunities to cut in meaningful ways — if only someone will have the determination to do it. But we’ll probably just keep on spending and expanding until the money runs out.
