I saw this tweet.
“An Afghani interpreter I have come to know well over the years was hung in the streets last night. They melted his DoD ID into his chest. Cut off his arms. And killed his family.
His 10 year old daughter was spared and handed off to leadership.”
- Joe Lonsdale
and
“… DoD’s pathetic mistakes aside - bureaucrats couldn’t approve our allies’ visas in time & no leader in our Govt was competent to figure it out.
So much to fix. But if this doesn’t call for civil service reform and accountability and an overhaul of Govt, I don’t know what does.”

i certainly hope they are stopping able bodied men from leaving- so they don’t show up here.
you want to send in US Marines to protect what exactly? Or did you mean Royal Marines? The Brits can send their men in.
My comment regards this backwards evac.
There were to be thousands of troops going in to help civilians
That’s all
I believe that the Afghan Army that we spent billions on training and equipment just changed uniforms and became Taliban. They were Taliban all along just waiting for the order. Great work Intel community. Thanks for all the equipment and training America. What fools.
A tiger doesn’t change its stripes.
And now many of these wonderful people are coming to your neighborhood.
😥
We should have gone in, stomped dat @$$ HARD, killed Bin Laden, and left. No “nation building”, no aid, nothing....
Afghanistan is a cesspool... always has been, always will be.
Biden Administration Strategy for Withdrawal:
Step 1. Drag feet on getting Afghan Translators set up
Step 2. Pull out close air support.
Step 3. Blame Trump.
Step 4. Blame Republicans.
Step 5. Praise your own “wisdom” and “courage.”
Step 6. Go into hiding, answer no questions.
Step 7. Make sure your VP hides in the cellar.
Much Intel loss is traceable to Bill Clinton.
He got convinced that we ‘didn’t need eyes/boots on the ground’. We could get all that Intel with spy satellites, etc.
Then maybe we should flip too. ??
It’s not the same Taliban as 10 years ago
“We should have gone in, stomped dat @$$ HARD, killed Bin Laden, and left. “
Total agreement. That was our reason for going over there in the first place.
Should have left in 2011 or at most 2015 with the conclusion of OEF. Even Obama wanted that. But the State Dept. and NGOs were too involved with the ‘nation building’ gender-queering programs to the delight of the perverts that are in charge of that organization. Yeah, that’s right. We were there to support the perving of Afgn society. Then when Kabul fell the perverts told Americans to Shelter-in-Place until they evacuated. Then told them to fill out online forms and that Americans were not a priority.
Well, since they can’t be jumping from C-17s maybe they could jump off some nearby mountain.
What better way than to screen them at the airport with their papers to leave in hand? Lots of information on those papers.
The Brits alone have 7,000 they want to get out.
The Germans have said they will take 20,000 refugees.
The US under plugs would take tens of thousands and I still have no idea how many people are US citizens in there now let alone national dependents and others.
” its not the same Taliban it was 10 years ago “
Its exactly the same Taliban it was 10 years ago.
