Federal lawsuit seeks to stop or dramatically alter Gavin Newsom recall election

"This argument was made by Berkeley Law School Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, who wrote a New York Times op-ed last week arguing that because Newsom "can receive far more votes than any other candidate but still be removed from office," it violates a "core constitutional principle that has been followed for over 60 years: Every voter should have an equal ability to influence the outcome of the election."

Hope SCOTUS takes cert and does one of two things:

• (99% likely) 9-0 smackdown

• (1% likely) Actually agrees, because if they do, there will be a surprise filing the next day to estop ALL "jungle" and "ranked" voting in the United States on the basis of Cher's successful suit, as BOTH either denigrate or multiply "equitable influence" of one man-one vote.

As it is, I hope either Alito or Thomas is positioned to write the smackdown.

SHAZAM.
