They are mostly a bunch of old fart grifters that have lived/and continue to live a life of luxury(Pelousi, etc.). These people don't give 2 shytes about the future of the country. They(and theirs) got theirs...you and yours will...get yours.

Never pick a fight with a man who buys his ink by the barrel.

I never said that!

Modern Monetary Theory is a heterodox macroeconomic theory that describes currency as a public monopoly and unemployment as evidence that a currency monopolist is overly restricting the supply of the financial assets needed to pay taxes and satisfy savings desires.Wikipedia

The good news is machines now do most of the work and create most of the wealth that is confiscated by Fedzilla, and that percentage is increasing about 2% per year. The bad news is at some point the machines will get smart enough to decide humans are a waste of limited resources.

Only a small part of the debt these days are bonds owned by others. Almost (all) the new debt is the government lending itself money. - Renfrew

Well yeah, duh. We former masters of technology will end up being its slave unless Skynet decides to just eliminate the weakest link. Seriously though, since Nixon got us off the gold standard our U.S. government has used and abused it's position as the world's monetary standard, pushing us from the bar of measure to a total illusion that everyone else must kowtow to.

The current regime is burning up the presses printing currency with ever-decreasing value while devaluing work itself, enabling the lazy and talent-less to slide by on this "Covid Crisis" never-ending unemployment payments while we industrious wonder why we're working so hard. How do we kick kids who aren't ours out of the basement and make them work? Or the (by my estimate) 1/5th of the non-productive adult population. All Democrats.

We the usually Silent Majority have to be more vocal and politically active or perish lest these swine wipe us out with their subtle evil. We can't lie low anymore hoping for the best while these demons run amok. This is the time to stand.

Rephrase: One fifth of the adult population perpetually nonproductive, just taking. Include most politicians in that bracket.

Side note for amusement: my guidance counselor tested me for several sessions before saying "Mikel, all these results say you're best career path is in politics".

I thought a moment and replied "Hey man, what did I do to you?"
