The Fox story doesn't provide any details that the Taliban don't already know. There are public, open source maps of the location of Taliban checkpoints, and people in Kabul can use them (carefully since some might be fake) to evade the Taliban.

Cell phones and the internet expand the ability to gather and share intelligence by enabling people to share what they know. That can be helpful in situations like what we see in Afghanistan.

Having a competent commander in chief and Secretary of Defense would help too, but we have to work with what we have.
