Poor innocent Laura Ingalls Wilder was stripped of her posthumous accolades because she mentioned "colored people" in one of her books. "Colored People" is not pejorative; there are colored people in our town who still refer to black folks as colored people.
There is an ugly word used to refer to blacks and it isn't "colored".
Nobel still comes with a million dollar check.
The only one that has become a joke is the Peace prize. Most of the others are won by very impressive intelligent people.

It is not revoked because of his role in increasing Wuhan Virus nursing home deaths. The Academy says it is revoked because of the sexual harassment allegations. I suspect that more specifically, the Academy learned that the Emmy statute itself complained that Cuomo engaged in unwanted touching of the Emmy statue’s breasts.
That award was an embarrassment from the git go.
Note that they revoked the award for his sexual harassment problem, not because he killed thousands in the nursing homes.

Governor 'Nursing Home Killer' Cuomo acted exactly according to script. He was on cue. He spoke his lines as if he really believed them. This is a man who killed thousands and blamed innocent victims for it without stumbling once.
He even targeted a demographic that Television producers don't want anymore.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences needs to bestow another Emmy on him for his award-winning performance blaming his Italian heritage (and thereby all Italians) for his sexual harassment of state employees at the same time it is still illegal for others to do the same.

In the 60s I worked in a state hospital with a large contingent of black folk. If one of the black folk asked me if I knew so and so he would say something like. “…tall colored fella. Works over at so in so”. There was no animosity or tension. Just a conversation. We were all equal then.
