Where is Ralph Reed in all this? He got a Senator AND Governor elected in one year. Not that he should run but Walker could make rookie mistakes that show he’s not ready for prime time. Think Dan Quayle.
U R dead right. Problem is we had our experiences with Sharon Angle and the Missouri candidate who said women could avoid rape by ‘shutting down’. We don’t need losers running again but we do need fighters. Reagan won on his 3rd try. The country was ready for him after Carter/Ford. His age no longer a factor. We have to encourage a conservative swing in the electorate and I don’t know if the GOP is up for it. Not enough fight and too stupid.
Herschel Walker needs $10 million stat to clear the field. Are there 10 million conservative in this country that could donate $1? Most certainly...indeed a lot more than that who could donate $1 or more to every conservative Senate candidate in the country to give them a full war chest right away. A “progressive” Dem candidate would get this overnight practically. We have no such networking on our side...and I don’t understand why, quite frankly.

Man, you sure have gotten a lot of flack for your sober, sane comment. Walker has not been vetted. There are several possible things in his background that the Dems and their media allies will undoubtedly over-hype. Will he be able to survive that? Nobody knows. And that is the worrisome part. We need to win this Senate seat back. Yes, we want a real conservative, but a RINO is better than a Dem when the Senate is currently 50-50.
The media is going to go nuclear on him regardless of any facts. Thats going to be true for all GOP candidates. You can bank on that.
The question is if the GOP has the backbone and voice to negate the lies.
Not a lot of evidence for that - so yeah, I'd rather go with the hot guy and not the "safe, vetted, lifeless designated loser.
If CNN is writing stupid articles about Herschel Walker, he is going to win.
