With these asteroid postings I always look for an FR who does come up with a map showing its projected orbit
More fear porn. Disaster and demise of humanity always seems to be just around the corner:

won’t get any closer than 9.6 Lunar Distance from Earth and that it is only 56m in diameter.
I’m not worrying over this. I think a massive CME is a much
more realistic thing to worry about.
That asteroid is an image of Bennu, which the NASA OSIRIS-REx probe rendezvoused with and took samples of earlier this year.
There is very little we can do to stop one.

Exactly. If it manages to enter orbit we’d have either a new moon or an alien invasion.
Entering an orbit intimates that it’ll then continue to orbit, whereas crossing an orbit means it’ll fly by and not stick around.
Frankly, the way the world is going, I think sooner would be better.

A circle with a radius of about 93 million miles (more or less); everything inside the blue line is inside the earths orbit. It could pass on the far side of the sun and be 180 million miles from us and be within our orbit.
