Carter was president when my elders were youngsters. I’ve heard much of gas lines, hostages and malaise. But according to them he did exactly two laudable things:
1 served in the USN
2 served to turn them into conservatives for life.
Otherwise — it’s between him and the forgiving Lord.

Way too praise worthy of Carter, but he was better than Joe Biden.
Biden on the other hand went out of his way to abandon hundreds of Americans while evacuating Afghani nationals.
I stopped reading after that
Carter legalized homebrewing because of his brother Billy. That is all he did that was worthy.
