The Afghans needed that equipment or it wouldn’t have been given to them.
Afghan servicemen should have destroyed equipment to avoid its capture by the Taliban.
Did Beck put Cheetos on his face first?
The military has some real f’d up doctrine about leaving behind equipment (retrograde). After Desert Storm we left behind so much stuff it was UFB. The standard line was “It’s old, worn out and not worth sending back to the USA or EU(Nato) bases.” A humvee with 20,000 on the ODO is old and worn out to ship back...
Yesterday’s radio program...
I suspect many of the helicopters were not able to be repaired by the Afghans and could not have been flown out.
ok thanks.
Good question.
Actually I think it's more appropriate to say 'he was a mormon' to explain his behavior. Every prominent political person that I can think of that is a mormon was opposed to Trump in 2016 and accused him of being a dictator wannabe. From Glenn Beck to Mitt Romney and even to thriller author Brad Thor ... they all read from the same script. Remember that in 2016 a mormon popped up as a 3rd party challenger and got 21% of the vote in the Utah.
As a blast from the past, this from 2016 New York Times article:
Still, the scale of the rebellion by Utah Republicans against their party’s presidential candidate is practically unheard-of, said Chris Karpowitz, a director of Brigham Young University’s Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. Almost the entire congressional delegation has vowed not to vote for Mr. Trump in November. “The Republican establishment in the state of Utah is in all-out revolt against the Trump candidacy,” Mr. Karpowitz said. “I don’t think we’ve ever seen that before.”
That's me, too. I stopped listening to him in 2016 and have a hard time going back.
I am a little surprised that President Trump chose to give an interview to him. But our president is a very forgiving man.
I am glad to see that Beck currently seems to be back on his meds and on the straight and narrow.
Most likely copy right...
Beck will sell access to parts of that program to anyone who wants it.
That is the way it goes..
Beck and Brad Thor were conversing seriously about stopping Donald Trump from succeeding!!!
They were very intense.....with Thor suggesting he should be done away!
I will never read another Brad Thor book, and I had read plenty!
He is the enemy to me......So is Daniel Silva!
Should Trump have allowed Beck to interview him?.......Imo, Trump tries to get his point, get the word out, every chance he can.......even through Beck!
It is what it is.
I have not listened to Beck since he became an insufferable Never-Trumper in 2016.
His Cheetos dive was beyond the pale.
He is the only one of the people that I know of on the “Against Trump” cover of NR that has publicly offered a mea culpa.
Brent Bozell?
Katie Pavlich?
Mr. Meaghan McCain? (Ben Domenech)
“HA! Good for Trump. Most of the joint chiefs are a bunch of fools.”
I went to HS in Teaneck NJ with Peter Pace who in 2005 became Chairman of the JCOS. What I remember about him was he was a bit different then most but not in any way negative.
“What kind of moron leaves enough state-of-the-art material to equip several armies to a bunch of known cutthroats and terrorists?”
The kind of folks who make deals with the enemy from a position of weakness.
“We’re pulling out, so what have we gotta do for you for let us go?”
The Mormon church supports open borders, that’s why they opposed Trump and his promises of securing the border.
The trucks? Sure. They’re disposable. Destroy the engines on each one and render them useless.
Leaving aircraft is inexcusable. Treasonous.
