Think about the absurdity of this.
He talked about his leader’s failures openly. He’s in the
brig.
Milley actually discussed our nuclear weapons policy with
Communist China, and had a plan to circumvent the President
of the United States from fulfilling his duties to protect
this nation.
He’s out and about shooting his mouth off, and others are
defending him.
“Every first week boot knows there is no Freedom of Speech when you are in uniform.”
The US Supreme Court disagrees with you.
Yet 3 and 4 star generals who actively worked to undermine the president are free.
Beyond infuriating.
And now he is a political prisoner headed for the gulag. Squashed by his own.
I am watching Soviet Storm. They killed their own too but defeated the Germans of course. They even killed their heroes.
Tell that to the LTC sitting in the brig.
I am watching Soviet Storm.
On so many levels.
Killed heroes of all kinds, without any remorse.
Mentioned this same thing, to hubby, minutes ago.
Exactly
“Tell that to the LTC sitting in the brig.”
Well I guess we could extend that logic to the Jan 6 political prisoners.
I cheered the LTC when he made his remarks. However, in the back of my mind I knew based on my service and the current occupation of the White House he might find himself being prosecuted.
Bidens Bumkins don’t like the military as it is.
That’s the spirit!
Oh they did that just fine without the Colonel's help.
Actually, I mis-qued there.
I meant to be addressing the Marine that criticized Afthan
leadership, and in stead addressed the Marine that died in
Florida.

I think “persecuted” is the correct word.
And make him Sec Def. Wouldn’t that send shivers down their spines? Then, there would be some accountability.
Yeah.
As I mentioned to someone else, I mixed up two topics by
accident here.
One was talking about the Marine Floridian that just died.
The other was about one put in the brig for criticism.
I meant to address the Marine in the brig.
Sorry about that.
This addresses the Marine I wanted a pardon for.
For that matter though, I guess both these guys needed a
pardon, although the dead Marine is beyond help.

I still can’t understand why President Trump promoted Gen. Milley to the position of Chairman of the JCS.
Trump doesn’t know him. He gets recommendations in situations
like this, and the person doing the recommendations either
does a good job, or passes along a very bad guy.
Milley seems to have been a very bad guy.
Any president cannot truly know all the right people for any
given situation. They rely on recommendations.
I truly hope he has come to understand how some folks betrayed
him in his first term, and makes improvements in vetting
procedures.
Fifty armed patriots showing up at the brig demanding his release would work too. But that'll never happen anymore than Trump would.
I don’t think it’s out of the question Trump would do it.
“Every first week boot knows there is no Freedom of Speech when you are in uniform.”
Back when I was a first week boot, the CO of training center had a meeting with the incoming class and told us boots “like it or not, you are now living in a military dictatorship.”
