Stop presuming it is ghetto fab. It’s not. I’ve lived here for years. It’s a beautiful, quiet community with lovely amenities, great schools, and safe streets.
My son goes to Timberview. Straight A student in all AP courses. He has excellent teachers and very involved counselors. They have a specialized learning program for kids with Asbergers, so my son goes there. Everyone who works at the school has been extremely professional, polite, and dedicated.
My eldest two went to Lake Ridge High School, also is the MISD. This was another exemplary school.
What happened at Timberview this week was an aberration, not the norm. Frightening and disturbing, I admit, but certainly extraordinary.
Nonsense.
The administration is very professional and dedicated. My son goes to this school and had an incident last year with a kid picking on him for his Trump lanyard. They caught it all on video and shut it down immediately. The resource officer even helped us build a case to press charges even though my son was not hurt. The boy’s parents were called in and told everything that could happen if we decided to press our case.
That kid never bothered my son again.
If this young man was being bullied, all he needed to do was tell someone. They take that very seriously.
Those are cold, empty eyes.
