Last month (i.e., September 2021), there were 8,077 deaths involving COVID in the state of Florida, an increase of 299% when compared to the number of such deaths recorded in September 2020 (i.e., 2,023).
So, what has changed in Florida, such that there are more -- considerably more, to my eye at least -- deaths involving COVID now, compared to this same time last year? Perhaps the Miami Herald should consider committing journalism and drill down a bit on that question.
___________
*The CDC defines "deaths involving COVID" in these terms: "Deaths with confirmed or presumed COVID-19, coded to ICDâ10 code U07.1."
The blurring of the two is intentional. Theyâll also mix âanti-lockdownâ in there as well as if youâre some QAnon conspiracy extremist nutjob if you donât agree with shutting down the economy.
People who buy ink by the barrel shouldnât throw stones.
The Miami Herald is not a news organization.
The Miami Herald has always been a leftist rag.
