This is typical. Drug addicts robbing someplace in a stolen car are protected, but a resident with unruly grass is marked for death.

Sooner or later it is coming down to taking the “vaccine”. One either takes the “vaccine” or is shot in the back of the head to the cheering of the crowd by a Government Official by a 9mm. Kinda like this man. At least the profit from the sale of his house won’t line the pockets of the vultures that were cheering his death. Such as it is he died a Free Man. He did not comply. How many here will be able to say that?
Did you miss the part where he was shooting at the landscaping crew? Did you miss the part where he was shooting at the cops? Or that he set his own house on fire and came out armed? This was a "suicide by cop" by a mentally ill man.

Forcing some old grump out of his home via constant complaints over minor code violations is a common tactic for these asshats. Waiting for the geezer to die of old age takes to long.

I’d like to know how many offers to buy he had received in the last 12 months and if any of those offers are connected to any of the complaints.
It was handled the same way most other cities handle public nuisance orders ... they go mow the overgrown lawn. I've seen in it happen in my community many times. The problem is that this guy shot at them.
Man, if the city wants to come and mow my lawn they're welcome to do it.
