I have met several Aussie and people from NZ over my years and the most fun I have ever had was with them.

Even last year I met a couple fellows at the gas (petro) station down the way. The two were over here looking to purchase classic cars. I told them where to go in town to look some more before they left. We parked our vehicles after our fill up and went in and the BS flew for quite a while.

Never met a cross person from down under.

This whole thing is really sad.

We didn't give up our guns. There are more guns owned legally by Aussie now than before the restrictions. In fact guns in owner hands have almost doubled. By the way, I don't see where guns have been helpful in preventing your own fascist President from ruining the USA.

People keep equating what one individual or state government says to the whole of Australia. Most Aussies are conservative, but like the USA where the Democratic control, many of the states are controlled by Labor, because of the big cities, especially Melbourne, which is like New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago,etc. where the city votes swamp the rural areas. The other things that we have, which some states like Alaska have, is preference voting. That is terrible, and is a mistake for the USA to go to, as it will make it harder for a conservative Republicans to win. Most of the time here in Oz the conservative coalition get the most individual votes, but Labor get the preference votes of the Greens and then that candidate wins with the combined votes of the left.

The USA top leaders are worse, if that is any consolation to people here in Oz. Both countries are screwed up. But what bothers me on the FR board is one state Premier or even one individual like this AMA person in Queensland makes a comment, and the headline is “Australia”....it like when Newsom or De Blasio says something, and we would put “America” is “bad”. I mean you really do have a fascist Government, at least our Federal Government is run by the conservatives, even if they are weak, they are nothing like the far-left socialist crew you have running the Federal Government in the USA; and with people like Garland running the FBI like the SS. I wonder why there are so many FRers regularly posting negative things about Australia? You have so many problems in the USA, maybe you should be working on those first?

Sigh! They didn't take our guns away. As I have posted many times on this Board, there are more guns in the hands of Aussies now than before the restrictions. In fact, the average gun owner since the retrstrictions have double the number of guns we own.
