Largely suburban, the county contains a number of suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri including Overland Park, the second most populous city in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
Johnson County is entirely located within Kansas's 3rd congressional district, which has been represented by Democrat Sharice Davids since 2019.
"Turnout" for Johnson County in the 2008, 2016 and 2020 "elections":
Democrat Republican total
Obama 45% 127,091 McCain 54% 152,627 283,432
Hillary 45% 129,852 Trump 47% 137,490 290,090
Biden 53% 184,259 Trump 45% 155,631 349,386
Biden got 57,000 more "votes" in Johnson County than Obama got in 2008, and 54,000 more "votes" that Hillary got in 2016 - 145% more "turnout" for the Democrat presidential candidate.Meanwhile, across the rest of Kansas, only 13 other counties out of 106 counties topped the Obama 2008 turnout numbers - only one of which topped 10,000 more votes than Obama in 2008 [Sedgwick County - 13,533 votes].
Why is the Johnson County 2020 "turnout" important, you ask - since Trump won Kansas going away.
It just so happens that the extra 57,000 "voters" enabled Democrat Sharice Davids to beat Republican Amanda Adkins by 41,000 "votes" for the US House seat in Kansas congressional district 3.
This scenario happened in a number of states won by President Trump.
Just think how badly the Democrats would have lost the House had they NOT been rigging the votes in various House congressional districts...

The Dems pulled the same crap in Iowa. Stole one House seat, and almost got another (IA CD2 - the one Republican Marianne Miller-Meeks won by 6 votes, and that Nazi Pelousi threatened to steal anyway).
