Per the headline, AP isn’t talking about “redistricting,” but about something else: “Judge sides with Democrats in Oregon redisricting dispute”

I hope that the GOP appeals to the five-judge panel, because it is risible to claim that splitting Portland among four CDs is consistent with keeping communities of interest together or was done for anything other than a political reason. Personally, I don’t think that state legislatures should be given such limits on how they draw districts, but if the Democrats in OR did so then they have to abide by the rules that they established.
