I felt the same way for some time. You would think that Jews, and by the way I always had a soft spot for them, would detest anything what smells like socialism after what Hitler done to them. But no, it is just like a moth being attracted to the flame of a candle. Will people ever learn?
Yes he was.
Lenin’s great grandfather was Jewish, interestingly enough.

Yet Israel is socialist. European-style free health care, and free college, no?
Even the United States is socialist at this point. Just try repealing Medicare or SSI.
The socialism boat has sailed. Conservatives lost that one. The current political battles are crime and immigration.
No
We’ve known that for decades. Once again Trump speaks the truth.
I think Joe Lieberman might be an exception. Not sure, though.
I have an issue with the dual citizenship situation — for everyone and not just Jews. Be an American or don’t be an American; it’s not right.
Cancer in a Country With Socialized Medicine
When I moved to Tel Aviv from Manhattan 11 years ago, the fact that Israel was a country with socialized medicine wasn't really a factor. ...
No.
The reporter is incorrect.
Israel does not have free college.
Israel does not have “European style” (your words) free healthcare. You do have to participate in one of three or four HMO or PPO (or out version of TriCare for military). There is also a robust fully private option that is increasingly dominant.
Israel is also not a religious state, run according to Jewish law. So your fundamental point of using Israel as the arbiter of Jewish Law is just stupid. When the Sanhedrin is re made, in control, and accepted as authority, wake me.
Finally, Israel is also (too slowly for me) ridding itself of socialism it imported from Europe. The last bastion are our court system.
So, no. Literally every key underlying assumption in your post is wrong.
“How many Gentiles were involved in the writing of The Communist Manifesto?”
Both primary authors were Lutheran.
Engels was raised a devout Pietist Protestant (a really hardcore Lutheran), but became an atheist.
Karl Marx was baptized, raised, and confirmed a Lutheran, but became an atheist. He certainly knew nothing of Judaism, as his father rejected the religion long before his birth.
Engels was the co-author of the Communist Manifesto
He was raised a Piest — a hard core group of Lutherans.
Marx was also a Lutheran, from birth.
Socialism is an earthly Judaistic movement, supported by earthly Jews.
This is utter nonsense.
Judaism doesn't have "principles." It has commandments.
The whole purpose of obeying commandments is to submit to the Divine will. And it doesn't matter whether the commandment is the most rational and easily understandable in the world (thou shalt not kill) or inexplicable like the red heifer or the broken-necked she calf. Commandments without G-d are not commandments at all.
Only stupid liberal Jews (and apparently some conservatives) believe that there is anything Jewish about socialism.
You’re just being pedantic. Yes, Judaism has commandments, those who rejected God have rejected the Commandments, but they still desire the blessings of God, while rejecting God. That is why liberals, when pushed, will resort to religious arguments of charity and selflessness to justify socialism.
