So the front dipped down into your area, too, did it? Did you get a little rain with it or were you left out again?
We’ve gotten about an inch and a half over the past three days.
We’ll get to see the moon tomorrow night. I figured it was still on its outward track. It’ll move back in again eventually to give us another super moon.
Glad it was a good day there, though cold.
It was warm here til around sunset when the front finally moved through. It rained on us this afternoon while we were putting the wreaths out at the first cemetery but the sun decided to poke out for a few minutes while we were at the second one. Still a good day though.
You must be down to counting down the hours now. LOL Thursday isn’t that far off. A long drive but sooooooo worth it!
It’s 43 here right now and I don’t think it ever got over about 52 this afternoon. It looked like rain but never did. sigh.
I think it’s wonderful that you did Wreaths Across America. Did you take pictures?
Wow, it’s chillier there than it is here. We’re at 48 at the moment and should be in the upper 30s by morning.
Bummer you got ripped off on rain again.
They had a good turnout today for the wreaths even though the weather was crummy. It stopped raining before we finished the first cemetery and that was nice. I am so sore after all the walking I did. The rain/snow boots I wore are heavy and after three runs loaded with wreaths, it felt like I had cement shoes on. LOL The ol’ bum back is feeling every step tonight.
The second cemetery was small with only a few veterans and not everyone went there. Enough showed up that we each had one wreath to lay so there wasn’t nearly as much walking.
I was about halfway there when it hit me that I’d forgotten to grab the camera. *sigh*
Our high tomorrow is going to be around 48 and the low tomorrow 30. By the time we leave on Thursday, the high will be 79 and the low 55. 🎢
The memories are good enough. This was the veterans’ day, not mine. It was a pleasure to be able to take part in it.
Out temps tomorrow are going to be almost identical. Thursday, not so much. LOL Your low will be a tad warmer than our high then. Our warmest day will be Friday at 61.
It would be a great honor to take part in that ceremony. I don’t remember ever hearing of them coming to my area.
I’m not happy about it being that warm, trust me. I mean, it’s a nice temperature, but it sure doesn’t help put a person into the Christmas spirit. LOL! It’ll probably be at least that warm in Bryan. I hope it doesn’t get miserably cold there, though. Don’t need THAT either!
This is the first year they’ve done it here and the response was so good, they’ll do it again next year. Larger cities in TN have been doing it for a little while. Cowan is a tiny town and I was thrilled to see how many showed up today. A very patriotic bunch.
I would LOVE to be as warm as you’ll be. LOL I don’t need cold weather to get in the Christmas spirit. At least it won’t be frigid here though the nights will be brisk.
How's everyone doing this morning?
I’m glad they chose that town and that the response was so good. It’s quite an honor for sure. Glad it wasn’t too cold for it. Or raining. Ugh.
The woman who coordinated the event lives in that town so it stands to reason it would be done there. She did a fabulous job.
It did rain when we started but stopped before we finished. But it was warm enough that it wasn’t uncomfortable and it wasn’t windy. Lack of wind a plus!
