If there’s a big storm, SlowJoe can have FEMA fly in sandbags for ballast.
Compassionate Liberalism never ends well.
“Mayor London Breed proposed the declaration last week, which allows the city to waive certain laws in an effort to more quickly address the drug use and homelessness in the Tenderloin, according to the city.”
Put the homeless up at the Ritz Carlton, make the restaurants shooting galleries and since crime is already legal there, no need to do anything else except declare success.
Are they figuring the hundred grand as cash assistance, or more likely the myriad cast of drones providing “things” for their assistance.
Either way one could move them out of the city to an affordable area where they could live on their own, but we know that the majority of them are completely unable to live on their own without the support of City, State, and Federal, entities, not to mention the drug culture and supply chain.
behavioral health clinician?
They rebranded community organizer?
“They plan to just declare an “emergency” whenever they want, and enact whatever orders they want. Passing laws is so “old fashioned.””
Ok,so you see it too. This is about making London Breed supreme ruler. She can now ignore zoning and remove any amount of protection property owners and business owners may have left.
I believe the “behavioral health clinicians” CAUSED all of this cr@p to begin with.
Gasoline on the fire.
They weight it down with their sh*t.
Back in the day, I think my parents may have been behavioral clinicians.
They used to say stuff like, “Get an education, get a job, don’t do dope or you will end up sleeping on the streets.”
Create a problem and then implement a solution that doesn’t work.
Classic government action.
Isn't the purpose of laws to be....law?
Or, in San Francisco’s case, elect a DA who doesn’t believe in prosecuting anyone who isn’t a white-collar criminal.
Well, depending on how much money said criminal “contributes” to the DA’s re-election and slush fund.
I passed through there about 30 years ago on my way to a hotel for a professional conference. Even then, it was a complete cesspool and I've been told that it is far worst now. Trust me, that last thing I was thinking of was food - I just wanted to get the hell out of there.
Absolute power's faster - dictators don't have to deal with laws - just ask any of the monsters in the last few hundred years.
(Any liberals escaping the San Francisco hellhole need to move to a blue state NOT to a Red State.
I wonder if the tents meet the earthquake building code...
;-)
“waiving certain laws against hiring” is code for making it ok to hire white people.
You’d think that the smart Dims there would figure out that people with “behavioral issues”., such as drug abuse and mental illness, aren’t going to a place where they “can receive behavioral health services”.
“They plan to just declare an “emergency” whenever they want, and enact whatever orders they want. Passing laws is so “old fashioned.””
That’s going be the MO from now on. Who needs laws when you can grab all the power you want by simply yelling “emergency!”
As a wise man once said “we are so screwed!”
I work in the building in the upper left corner (Federal Building in UN Plaza). I haven’t been there since March 2020 though. This is the “Civic Center” area on the edge of the Tenderloin (which has always been gross).
That is NEVER okay. At least that’s what I hear.
