Agreed. We don't harass the mentally ill. But we don't do them any favors by patting them on the back, and telling them that they are doing well when they are clearly off the rails.
Regarding the swimmer guy, I'm still not sure if he's just running this as a long gag - expecting the officials, at some point, to admit that allowing biological males to compete with women in these athletic competitions is insane. If so, I'm sure he's surprised this 'gag' has run so long and that 'wokeness' has such deep roots. The 'Emperor who wore no clothes' fairy tale does not compare to this current absurdity.

It may be this guy is making a ton of money and having a good laugh. Oz has been hanging around Oprah too long. Real voters are disgusted with politically correct woke nonsense.
Do we need to have compassion for them because of the oppression they endure from the patriarchy or because they are mentally ill and tend to kill themselves? That’s the big question for Dr. Oz. Maybe that has happened. His answer would be of interest. The follow up question would be about how playing along with their delusions is compassionate.

Sure. Have him/her/it compete with other transgenders. That would be very compassionate.
Could someone who knows tell me:
Is Dr. Oz a "Republican Senate candidate", as in, has been nominated and is running against the Democrat; or is he "a Republican would would like to be nominated by his party and is a candidate for that nomination"?
He went pretty far as a surgeon, made it to Vice-Chair of Surgery at P&S before he went off the rails.
What about compassion for female swimmers who have to face unfair competition from males?

Back in the 1400’s or something the King of France thought that he was made of glass and would break. In order to go anywhere (even the bathroom) he made his servants place him in a box of straw so as not to break. It “infected” the minds of other people as well and took 100 to 200 years to fade away from society.
I’ve wondered if the “King has no clothes” refers to this historic episode. And it really is the same as the transgender thing for 99% of the cases. (Some rare natural instances of chromosome confusion and/or sexual parts not developing properly.)
