55 at this time yesterday in Ne Oh. now 26...
It was 73 here this time last evening and is now 34. Temp is dropping pretty quickly now.
This is a strong cold blast.
Payback for us having such a nice, warm December. LOL
It is what it is..
Good evening, luvie...and thanks for the tune.
Are you still cold? Stay warm!!
Nelson Eddy depicyed this event as a scene in the movie “Balalaika” which co-starred Ilona Massie. It was a memorable scene in a not-so memorable movie. :-)
And what it is is winter. LOL
We’ve gotten off easy so far in this part of the country and were overdue for a hit. But dang, did it have to clobber so hard?
Howdy, Kathy! (((hugs)))
It’s still cold but not in the deep freeze like it was last night. That was a very strange anomaly and it’ll get warmer after today.
As long as we don’t go off the rails, its all good.
At the rate it’s going, we’re going to get more snow than they predicted. I guess the 4 or so hours of cold rain cooled the ground enough that the snow started sticking right away. There’s already an inch and we just got started. We have a few hours to go yet. If you go to the storm chasers’ site and pull up Brad Arnold, what you see is pretty much what we have. He’s in Huntsville, AL at the moment.
Tornados here yesterday and now snow.
Co-worker just reported that his power is back on. The last Christmas we were in the office I gave everyone a solar powered popup light. Pull the ends apart for a nice light source. He said it is working well. LOL!
Then he texted back that he found a USB port on it so he was charging his phone. Too funny!
And still no wind here, but it is -10 on my porch.
It is...and I don’t think we will. Steady as she goes!
You’re getting quite a show around there. I hope you don’t have to get out tomorrow for anything. Stay warm! Brrr! Looks like you have blowing snow at that, if it’s anything like Arnold is seeing. Looks miserable.
tagline change
Glad to hear your co-worker’s power is back on. Had to be a rough go of it while it was off. Solar lights come in reeeeeeal handy, I must say. I gave mine a good recharging recently, just in case. I was afraid we might need them tonight but we didn’t get ice. Whew! Just snow and it’s still coming down.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR on your -10!!! I’m so glad you aren’t dealing with the wind they’re dealing with at the airport. It’s still ripping. Pilots taking off and landing there must have major pucker-factor going on. One is coming in now.
Did any ducks show up for supper or are they hunkered down to stay warm somewhere?
Happy New Year to you and son...enjoy your hanging out time.
It’s been quite an “adventurous” two days, no doubt.
I have no reason to go anywhere tomorrow. Too many idiots around here who insist on driving too fast and I’m not going to be a target when they crash. I’m staying out of harm’s way. LOL
Yes, it’s a bit of a blowing snow but the wind isn’t blowing too hard. It was coming down for a while like you saw on Brad’s stream but has slowed down a little. If the radar is correct, we have another heavy round about to move in.
