You’re talking 2008 here. Are you going to try and tell us CA voters would oppose “gay marriage” now? Further.. the CA that twice elected Reagan as Governor and twice voted for him as President is dead, gone and buried.

I realize there are still some parts of that state that are staunchly people-American. I was born and raised in NorCal and lived in the North State through my high school and college years. My family still lives there - and I hope someday the State of Jefferson will become a reality, because those residing in Butte County on north (with the exception of Humboldt County on the coast) are completely unrepresented in Sacramento. North Staters who migrate to red states should be welcomed with open arms… but that’s not who’s doing the moving. Rather it’s the liberal cancer, whose cells want cheaper housing. They pack already-leftist areas like Austin, Salt Lake City and Boise, and spread out from there. Once established, as what happened in Oregon, Washington, Colorado and New Mexico, they’ll push for the same “woke” crap that permeated the states they left.

But as for CA voters of today streaming from liberal hubs into other states, one need look no further than Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and now Arizona to see the result, along with Oregon and Washington before them. The results are rarely good ones.

90% of the leftists in California from migrants from other states

Unless you think all of California just magically one day decided to switch from Republican to Democrat for no reason whatsoever

The thing to escape, here, is the demand that “the answer” be an either/or proposition; that is, either “a” or “the.” We can have it BOTH rendered “the” for reasons of expressive form, AND understood to be “a” in factual reality.

Manifestly, the love of money is “a root” of many evils, and there are other roots of evil besides. And surely, of all people, Paul knows evil has more than one root. Equally clearly, by encompassing “all evil” Paul is intentionally making an exaggerated claim; it’s obvious hyperbole. But saying “a root of all evil” is nonsense. If it’s only “a root” it can’t be “of all evil,” only “of some evils,” or “of many evils.” So the rendering “the root” is needed to stands alongside “all evil” to maintain the hyperbole.

That hyperbole doesn’t militate against the broader reality that evil has many roots, but emphasizes Paul’s observation of the dominance of the love of money among them.

The leftist filth who got indoctrinated at UC Berkeley in the ‘70 and ‘80s began voting in the ‘90s and it moved forth like a snowball rolling down the Zugspitze. As for leftists moving there from other states, you have it backwards… Cali people fanned along the west coast, infesting Oregon and Washington first, then Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado afterward.

People in Oregon and Washington don’t like Californication anymore than Texans do.

Californians aren’t too popular in Colorado, either, after they migrated there and completely altered the political alignment there.

Wrong yet again

Check the background of the leftist “leaders” in California. For example:

Nancy D’Alesandro Pelosi born in Baltimore, Maryland. Her father Thomas D’Alesandro Jr. was mayor of Baltimore, as was her brother Thomas D’Alesandro III later on. Her mother was a Democrat women organizer.

Adam Schiff - born in Framingham, Massachusetts. Congressman.

Barbara Boxer - born in NYC

Maxine Waters - born in St. Louis, Missouri. Congresswoman.

Willie Brown born in Mineola, Texas. Mayor of SF, and State Assembly Speaker of California.

Barbara Lee - born in El Paso, Texas. Congresswoman.

The list of outsiders who infected California is long.

I got that about the leaders.... I’m talking about the many hundreds of thousands who came up in the 60s and 70s in the leftist environs of the UC system, only to later become to professors to continue to propagate that crap. Yes, the leaders came from outside the state... but the leftist idiots IN THE STATE elected them!

So… is it your contention the fact California is indigo blue is just an illusion, that it’s really a giant red state that’s been victimized by fraud all these years?

I get that you strongly and deeply believe it… but anecdotal statements on Twitter aren’t “evidence.” We all wish it weren’t true, but the fact Cali is a firmly deep-blue state is irrefutable. I appreciate your idealism, though.
