I'd say one's life is pretty "high-value", actually, but apparently the Kali PTB don't agree. The problem isn't getting a gun, it's getting a gun legally, and if you have one, keeping it legal in the face of a blizzard of changing state laws that are designed to discourage possession at all. Anti-gun extremists nationwide have declared gun owners to be a distinct social class whatever their economic class is (Marx would not approve) and are carrying on literal class warfare under the cynical rubrics of "gun safety" and "firearms reform".
