“ NO ONE should ‘need’ to request a ‘religious exemption’. A simple “No thanks!” should be all that’s needed. Anything else is admitting they have the authority to call for the vaccines to be administered.”

Agreed to a point.

I work for a large federal contractor who is trying to implement the mandate. I CLAIMED my religious exemption and they agreed (for a time) to accommodate me. For an employer, they can’t deny your exemption, but the CAN determine that accommodating you could be an undue burden. That’s how they do it.

During my interview I explained my position and told them that I am the worlds foremost expert on my own beliefs, and the only question to be answered is whether it’s an undue burden for them to accommodate me. Since I’ve been very productive during the current situation, continuing it cannot by definition be an undue burden.

I’m 10000% against mandates and will die on this hill if necessary. They are wrong in asking this and many of us are fighting it. At this point I’m just trying to outlast the entire charade and hoping it falls apart before they change their minds
