Only one Wharton student said 800k
The correct headline should not have read “No Wharton Students” meaning plural trying to imply numerous Wharton students thought the average was 800k.
Gawd.... and these students are supposedly smart. I mean, they managed to get into Wharton...
I earned my MBA over thirty years ago, not from Wharton. In my classes were students who had earned the Bachelor’s degree years earlier and many who had entered B school directly after college graduation. The difference between the experienced students and the infants with no real world experience was immense.
I suspect the gulf has only grown wider in the intervening years as more and more recent grads enter B school directly from college. These are the dopes who responded with the $800k figure.

The headline is misleading; ONE student thought the average income was $800,000, and 25% thought the average was $100,000 or more. That’s pretty bad, but nothing like what the headline suggests.

You claim the headline was a lie based on your inference of what it said, which it did not say.
As far as you know there were other students who thought the average was $700k.
The headline was a statement to Wharton students and an illumination of a fact.
Your statement was a lie.
Because the teacher said only 1 student said 800k. .
And she said 25% of the students said 6 figures.
That means 75% of the students said less than 6 figures which is online with the stats.
