I’m thinking a class action suit for fraud.
I’d like to hear from counsel on this, but there is nothing in their “Terms of Service” that says GoFundMe can arbitrarily seize money that is donated for a “charity” that they feel violates their rules and re-direct the funds to another recipient.
In fact, there is language that specifically states that any disputes between parties shall be settled by binding arbitration. It also doesn’t preclude someone from taking the service to a court of record for relief.
I’d like to see someone with a law degree read their terms of service and see if they may have committed an act of theft.
Long term that would be the way to go, but in the meantime those guys need food, fuel, and a place to shower and get warm for a bit.
The bank that issues the card often ends up eating disputed charges.
Agreed, and now that there is another way to support these Freedom fighters, I think that will be addressed. But I’m tired of our side pontificating and then nothing happens. Democrats are gutter-fighters, we still play by the rules. It’s way past time for the gloves to come off and put our people on notice that we are no longer going to be nice guys.
Graham, MacCarthy, and Mitch are way past their sell-by date. It’s time they understand it’s no longer business as usual in DC.

At some point, this “go fund me” organization needs to be shut down. I don’t see how what they do can be called legal. At the very least, they are immoral scam artists.
Best way to dispute! You don‘t get what you paid for then you dispute the fraud charge!

For gofundme to do this is going to intensify things big time, IMO.

Then apply for the refund and then do a chargeback if it is denied.
Be prepared to sue/take it to arbitration.
This is theft. GoFundMe should be sued out of existence.
