Yep. People would have to be crazy/idiotic to send money to GoFundMe ...who will take the money and do whatever they want with it.

This should end GoFundMe. It probably won’t but it should.
People should bankrupt them by asking for their money back. Just think of the expense involved doing that. Then their needs to be a class action suit by the people who didn’t get a refund. Make them refund all of the money to a court to distribute.
They’ve since said that people will just get their back but only because they’re in full damage control.

Given GoFundMe’s behavior, I do not want to have anything to do with them ever again. As of this morning, they are automatically issuing refunds within 7-10 business days.
They should have to refund quicker than that. They should have to pay interest. They should have to pay a penalty. Note that when a peasant misses a tax payment, they are responsible for interest and penalty.
You are probably aware of this, too: I saw that GoFundMe is refunding all the money.
IF there is a site where I can donate TO SUE GO FUND ME out of everything they own, let me know,.

If you dispute the charge and win then GFM has to pay a merchant chargeback fee of between $20-$100. It’s a great way to force them into bankruptcy!
