As several have noted it is this type of result that has the D strategists in WDC sweating bullets. It means their core block of voters is not as dependable as they had hoped and need. If your typical double-digit IQ city dwellers are noticing that they were better off just a few years ago and have decided to check out the grass on the other side of the fence, it looks to be a bad year for the Ds.

It also explains why 30+ D reps have decided to ‘devote more time to the family’ rather than stand for re-election. Hopefully the ‘reading of the entrails’ by the D operatives will get so bad that a few D senators will retire also.
