Hard to know which story is true and which is not.
On Kiev I’m sure you’ve seen reports about Russia controlling one of the airports.
On Turkey I think the evacuation story is false — typical war time story, any report that the leadership is running is going to cut down resistance. Not even saying the story originates from Russian officials, bloggers also make stories. And surely not saying that the Uke leaders would not run away, many already did!, but it is more logical for them to just drive West.

Apparently they weren’t feeling anti-Russia enough to join NATO, so their own vacillating brought on this war.
As an AmericaFirster, I have hindsight that if we had done the right thing in Sudetenland, Hitler would never have been more than just a regional bully. If we had intervened earlier, we would have saved tens of millions of lives. Hindsight gives us foresight: The same kind of appeasement has led to this full-on military invasion and annexation process with yet another local bully.
Not Sudentenland. The Rhineland in 1936, had the French fired on the Germans, Hitler had orders for them to retreat. Not a shot was fired.
America would have been better off not arming USSR to fight the Nazis too.
