It’s always hard to know. The proverbial fog of war and all that. There’s ots of fake stuff all over social media including videos from former faraway wars, old photos from 2014, etc., idiots trying to get attention.
Ref the airports, Russians took Antunov earlier. Whether it is still in Russian hands, I don’t know. This freaked-out CNN reporter there is um, interesting:

Fighting around Gostomel airfield was still being reported last time I checked. Ukrainian tanks and ARTY vs Russian paratroopers. Glad I’m not a Russian paratrooper. This airfield is significant, given its location west of Kiev and implications for hindering a Ukrainian retreat should it fall to/remain in Russian hands. It may well have returned to UKR hands by now.
Overall, it looks like after only light resistance from UKR in the very beginning, they are putting up a fight in some areas now. Heavy fighting around Sumy (UKR counterattack) being reported, for example.
Meanwhile, ref the nice prize of the North Crimean Canal (which Putin will consider a real keeper), surreal spectacle of RUS mech rolling through Kherson Oblast right past UKR troops, camera on canal roadway:

UKR recently confirmed the radar installation on Zmeiniy island was destroyed and the handful of defenders killed in the missile strikes from RUS warship after refusing to surrender, so apparently this may be real:

Someone posted here earlier about Odessa falling to RUS, but my check of RUS and UKR sources found nothing. I did see the the “Russian flag over Odessa” photo he mentioned plastered on our Twitter for #odessa, but the photo must be fake or very old. Videos of UKR troops in Odessa that appear genuine from credible sources.
Overall, it appears RUS are not so much engaging in urban combat at this stage, but rather securing or attempting to secure approaches and perimeters of selected cities (bridges, roadways, etc).
It also appears UKR has confirmed that the Chernobyl Zone has been secured by RUS.

The Turkish A-400s really did fly and land there (they were tracked). Whether they actually evacuated UKR leadership is in question, and, as you point out, likely propaganda. It would be prudent to evacuate some in key positions, however I think it more likely they were there to evacuate Turkish nationals. Ref driving to Poland, not the best idea for those folks, considering the reported traffic jams and possible danger. Two Ospreys swooped in and evacuated US embassy staff to Poland.
