If Russia really wanted to take Ukraine, they could have done it over the weekend. Then, any other country in the area with the exception of Poland. All those countries still have communists in them. And nothing from the west can stop them without putting boots on the ground.

If this story is true, I cannot help but remember back a few years when Russia was trying to build a couple of aircraft carriers. They ended up selling one unfinished mess to India. I do not think the other is seaworthy yet.
I wonder if their aircraft are plagued with the same problem(s) and many are not airworthy.

The tactics in this war make zero sense. It’s like neither team is fighting to win.
They are negotiating. Russia is trying to maneuver into position so they can basically tell Ukraine, give in to our demands or we’ll attack.
One of the first principles of Marxism is the progressive income tax. Interestingly, Russia implemented a 13% flat tax back in 2001, while here in the Land of the Free we still punish success with our progressive graduated income tax. Just sayin...

Russia is not fighting a total war, its trying to use restraint to mitigate collateral damage. If they’re going to attempt to annex Eastern Ukraine, then carpet bombing Kharkiv and having the civilian population bitter because you indiscriminately killed their loved ones isn’t a good idea.

Loader rips open a Black Cat package, hands off to bomber who lights and drops. 1, 2, 3, drop, a well oiled machine. The drunk Russians think all hell is on them and take off running with nothing but vodka bottles. Strings of Black Cats exploding, whooshes of fuel bursting into flame, vehicle explosions!
It would be glorious! I think bazooka guy would approve of this.
