Sorry chum, that’s mutiny. These guys are risking a firing squad. If not then Putin is going to see his advance into Ukraine unravel very, very fast.

Just like WWI

Everything is propaganda.
Discerning the truth is tricky in times like these.

More propaganda. Its sickening how easily the sheep are led to a viewpoint they want to believe. I weep for the future.

“The US killed many civilians with drone strikes on Afghanistan, hundreds, at least.”

I wonder how many here have any clue as to what we did in the bombing of Belgrade to drive the Serbs out of Kosovo, during the Kosovo War. Hint: Belgrade is 200 miles from Kosovo.

Winning a war, and having the media behind you, does pay dividends (along with making one immune from war crimes).

“Wesley Clark almost started WWIII in Kosovo.”

Hadn’t heard that. Was it because of our bombing of the Chinese Embassy there?

I vaguely remember that, damn. People don’t think of what happens when you give a bunch of toddlers control of our military, so they never consider that when voting for President.

At this point, I do not know who or what to believe.
My heart says believe anything positive to Ukraine, but my head says no, believe nothing you see or hear until the fog of war lifts.

I also want to believe good news about the Ukrainians, but these reports of — 6000 Russian soldiers killed to a couple hundred Ukrainians, civilians knocking out tanks, miles of burnt out Russian vehicles, the Russians totally flummoxed and in disarray — would make Baghdad Bob blush. It’s likely far more even-handed than the media is showing, but with the world united behind Ukraine they’re just loathe to show Ukrainian losses and setbacks at this stage. I do believe the Russians are having a harder go of it than they anticipated.

I wonder if the ghosts of Grozny are weighing on the minds of those commanding the Russian advances on Kharkiv and Kiev.

Somehow I get the idea that Putin didn’t send his best and brightest into Ukraine, maybe they’re even people he felt he could live without.

My thoughts exactly. The best troops are the ones going into the baltic states, belarus, moldava, and possibly poland/romania.
