He hired f&%$ing Omarosa. Anyone who watched that TV show of his knew she was a train wreck waiting to happen. I couldn’t believe it when he actually hired her. And of course it blew up in his face.

Some of the “tanks” used in the Louisiana maneuvers were actually 1.5 ton trucks with wooden signs that said “Tank” on them LOL.

Yup. We insufficiently appreciate our country’s extraordinary accomplishment in creating the fighting force that won WW II.

Patton was one of those people whose life seems to be directed by destiny, with luck coming to his aid at just the right moments.

So the same thing will happen again if Trump wins in 2024. McConnell and Schumer will still be in the Senate.

I certainly would not credit Trump as being the kind of guy who doesn’t make mistakes, not at all.

That was an interesting one for me to watch, that Omarosa thing.

I don’t watch television and hadn’t for decades...so I had never seen The Apprentice, or even watched anything with Trump (except for the interview he had back in the late Eighties with Larry King. So I was completely unaware of who that ticking time bomb was.

I was all in on Pence early on, I thought he was a fine counterpoint in personality and style to Trump.

My first inkling that something wasn’t right with him came when he reacted initially to the assertion that Flynn “lied” to him about his call with the Russian ambassador.

Granted, when it was safe later on, he opined that he didn’t think Flynn lied to him (which he didn’t) but by then the damage was done.

His craven behavior in the aftermath of the election sealed it for me.

I have his measure, I believe.

Exactly...I can see you have taken an interest in Patton as well!

When Giuliani left office as NYC mayor in 2001 he started a consulting and security firm that ended up securing contracts with companies that drove the Bush administration’s energy policy — both in the U.S. and abroad. His partner, former NYC police commissioner Bernie Kerik, was appointed by Bush as the Interior Minister of Iraq under its provisional government in the mid-2000s, and was later nominated for U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security before his nomination was withdrawn under a cloud of allegations about all kinds of shady financial dealings. He was later prosecuted for tax fraud and lying during the background checks for his Bush administration clearance process.

I watched the hunt in Tora Bora live and now I’m the one considered dangerous. Meanwhile the 20th to be hijacker of 9-11 has been released, unbelievable. Biden’s war on America continues. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/03/08/september-11-accomplice-sent-home-to-saudi-arabia/

Beyond outrageous.

The victims and surviving family members are screaming about this and not a peep in the corporate media about the pain they are going through.

Hi.

I would say, “wow, unbelievable,” but that is every day now, and has lost all meaning.

I’d say the problem was you have to go to war with the army you have available, not the one you’d really want. He didn’t have a deep line of people to pay him favors back for which he helped them get into their positions, of consequence. He has plenty of people in the business world to consider for roles in business, but not government.

He had to rely upon Pence, Turtle, and others for a “bench” of people.

Look what that gets you.
