We have at least learned that Ukraine does have high-security biolabs, researching dangerous pathogens - and that the USA Government was funding them.
But perhaps many nations have such labs, also for legitimate purposes. Its also likely Fed.gov is giving money to many of them - again, possibly for defensible reasons, but as we saw with Wuhan, possibly also with disastrous consequences.

You are absolutely correct. Re-focusing those labs wouldn't take more than a year - if that. Griffen is an idiot reading copy and believing the tripe that is being spoon fed to her. Does she really believe that the Ukraine was able to get rid of all its nukes, but not convert these labs after all these years? There's a reason she's a 'journalist' and not an engineer. I'm sorry, but it's a valid observation.
