Not a popular opinion but how much is zelensky getting.....

Probably quite a bit as a finders fee. Just like the Afghan’s..Give them “aid” and the elites skim enough to buy condos and yachts in Dubai...while we walk to work. Congress is a disgrace. Can’t wait to not vote in Nov..

They could not.

Committee passed the (resolution?) for finale package at 0230 with the meeting at 0100 with announcement of the meeting at 1201 on a web page.

How much of the 1.5 is going to support marxism in America?

Absolutely vile creatures. Putin is less of a threat to America than our own politicians.

That's a fact!

About 25% of Russia’s annual war mongering spending. Putin is in real deep kimchi. His current bad dream is going nightmare real quick.

house minority leader asleep at the wheel much?

The GOP in the house and Senate were highly effective at blocking everything Trump wanted to do while they held both houses. Now they far from blocking anything the GOP somehow finds ways to help Biden pass everything he wants (except Build Back Better) either by pushing it through committees or providing just enough needed votes to pass it when the dems couldn't get things done alone.

Do we really think the issue is that McCarthy and McConnell are making mistakes now? I know I don't. I think they are doing exactly what they want: advance the deep state while keeping a thin veneer of 'we tried to stop it!'.

No argument against that from me...

“..2,741-page omnibus spending bill...”
“And nobody read it”

Of course nobody has read it. We won’t find out what’s in it until someone takes the time to go through all of those 2700 pages, but by then it will be law.

Back in the 60s I took a Evelyn Wood speed-reading course. It really does work as hard as it might be for people to believe.

If Republicans were smart they would hire some people who can do this and have them actually read through the thing before it comes up for a vote. Find the little surprises buried deep inside the bill.

About 20 years ago Missouri passed a huge spending bill for education. It was done very quickly, like in a day or two. Buried deep within the bill was a provision that students could not advance to fourth grade if he or she weren’t reading at a third-grade level. It wasn’t discovered until some days after the governor signed the bill into law.

Panic ensued as everyone realized that if the law were followed, in a few years there would be fourteen-year olds in third grade. So, in the next session that provision was eliminated.

Point being, someone, several someones really, should actually read these things before they are passed.

How is it that you think that $14.6 billion being divvied up between a bunch of politicians and their cronies is going to turn Putin's “bad dream” into a “nightmare”? He is probably the one getting the biggest cut. Everyone has their role to play in this political theater. Your role is to be one of the marks who is happy about being ripped off. Thanks...
