I know this from watching him, there was the long table in all its iterations, from heads of state to his own guys all bunched up and squirming at the end. The entire leadup to this invasion gave everyone a good chance, day after day, to observe Putin in action.
The Daily Mail has turned into the Daily Ukrainian Propaganda. I hope Putin nukes them first.

Well, that’s more info than I have. In any case, it is hard to see ANYONE in Russian leadership standing by while Ukraine nukes up. So Putin may go, but the war won’t end due to it.

Which is why they were left alone for 30 years by Russia, but once they threatened to nuke-up last year, then their days of peace with Russia were numbered.

As the IAEA weighed in, this looks like it was another Putin administration fake pretexts for war. Like the alleged bioweapons that have turned out to be a run if the mill medical facility not a military bioweapon research facility.

It wasn’t even discussed until after the invasion started, and then the first noting of it was when our embassy removed its information on it, and then conflicting statements from the US government on it, in the same day! In any case, Putin had the justification he needed due to the NATO/Nuclear threats and the EU stuff being bandied about by Ukraine, not to mention what was happening to the Ethnic Russians there.
Plenty of freepers, mostly inhabitants of the Q sandbox thread, have been spouting Putin's propaganda as fact since before the invasion. Putin has quite the fan club here.
Apparently the ethnic Russians in Ukraine did not welcome the Russian invaders with open arms. A heck of a lot of Russians have emigrated to Ukraine, so the alleged genocide does not appear to have happened.
Nobody but Putin has been making nuclear threats. Ukraine did want to join the EU, and probably NATO, but you have to figure that they will be punished via trade, and they went through the 2014 invasion, so its not to hard to see that they would want to have some sort of non-Russian trade agreement. The EU is the only other game in town.
I think the Russian government could easily carry on if Putin resigned, and that is likely to be the least damaging prospect for all parties concerned. It would provide a reset that is otherwise not possible, unless Putin is willing to find a fall guy in his own government. Maybe thats what he is trying to do with firing the generals. Who can say.
Yes he certainly does, and we are sunk if any of that becomes the narrative, besides more immediate concerns :(

Actually, I think most of them lived there. And support for the Russian takeover of Crimea (also ethnic Russians living in Ukraine) was over 90%, and that was based on Western polling.
