We got a real problem right now. Reminds me of how bad the schools and universities are infiltrated. I’m not sure if it can be corrected easily, quickly, or at all.
Interesting story. There are a handful of folks on here that from day one take a position on an issue and defend it like they are being paid to. Absolutely unswayable, no argument is sufficient to cause a reevaluation of their position.
They have other tells that I won’t point out here. There were a few of them trolling the vax threads also.

Although there is great significance to the year that our troops were called back from Iraq and many were discharged, the process of turning our officer corps into a group of woke idiots started before 2011, The decline in our military academies and the trickledown effect it had on out officer corps had already been going on for a long time. It paralleled declines in our society and created an opportunity for liberals to begin infiltrating and eventually dominating the command structure.
But even before Obama pulled us out of Iraq conservatives were being purged from the higher ranks and junior officers could see the writing on the wall before that.
When we first met our brother-in-law in the late 80s he seemed like a conservative guy. As late as 2008, around the time he made Major he was still acting like a conservative, but some time after that a definite transition took place, by the time he made Lieutenant Colonel he started parroting leftist talking points. And when he became a full bird it was obvious that he was full on woke.
I do not dispute that the year 2011 has great significance; I just believe that the rot that made the purge of conservatives started before that.

Being a conservative does not make one immune from falling for propaganda. In some ways being a conservative makes one more vulnerable, especially to arguments where appeals to authority are used. I think that explains a lot of the vax proponents here who just will not give up on them even though they have now completely lost their efficacy against the latest strains.

You’re right of course. I use 2011 because one time I found a memo from that year putting it all in writing. I should probably stop using the date because as you say, it started way prior.
I bet it’s in the leadership schools they go to. Weird that a conservative could be influenced in that way. It wouldn’t work on me at all. Maybe it’s tied into promotions and good assignments.
