OMG. that is even worse than the previous one.
And we wonder what is wrong with this country.

When I was a tween, I wore a button down dress shirt, dress pants, and black or brown leather shoes. Jacket and tie for school, too.
I still wear the same thing now, though the pants have more natural fibers in them (I was a tween in the ‘70s).

Yep. Just like the Beau Brummel era went away, the elaborate suit look will, too, except for certain occasions.
Another wierd thing is I see kids/young people wearing shorts when it's 35 degrees outside.
Idiocracy does a great job of documenting the slovenly dress of stupid people.

It’s called business casual, before lockdown business casual was 4 days a week, Fridays were jeans and nice shirt.

At 73 I wear a lot of t-shirts, or shirttail out with regular shirts, and roll the cuffs of my jeans if they are long enough.
I don’t need or want a job of course.
The guy above? Not my look.

I like the mid length wool coats like Selleck has on. I have one from my days in NY but I have gained a pound (or two) and it don’t quite fit the way it used to.

Another wierd thing is I see kids/young people wearing shorts when it's 35 degrees outside. I've noticed that for years. Walking my dog on cold mornings, the parents will drive their kids to the school bus stop and sit their idling until the bus arrives.
When the bus comes, these kids go running to the bus in shorts and flip flops even though it's 20 degrees with snow on the ground! I always get a kick out of that. One of these days, their school bus will break down and then what? I guess they'll whip out their cell phones and call mommy for a pickup.
Basically kids are shuttled around in climate controlled comfort everywhere they go, so no need to dress for the weather anymore.

So we have come full circle to only worn in church, the funeral or the wedding.

I think so.
I'm pretty OK with that. Anyone walking around in a suit nowadays, is doing it as an affectation, or because they are trying to establish fake credenetials and confidence, iike lwayers and politicians, as I said.

I haven’t worn a suit in the past several years.
My main one probably doesn’t fit anymore.
Give me jeans, cargo-type shorts, khaki slacks, polo or t type shirts.

I’d like to see Dilbert go back to suits and ties.
The PHB seemed even dumber with a suit.

So that is now business casual now. EGADS!

I’m 66, have great legs, and don’t really care anymore how most people regard my fashion choices. I have reached that stage of life where the only reason that I wear clothes at all in the summer is so that I don't freak out everyone around me.
