A perfectly valid shoot, and operation that, because of a breach of operational security, led to the infamous “Green Beret Murder” case. The ARMY hated the Special Forces ( it was President John F. Kennedy who, by executive order, permitted the SF to wear the Green Beret, “as a badge of honor, and mark of distinction”[paraphrased]...the ARMY could not rescind that, so they gave a beret to everyone, including the 443rd Combat Mess Kit Repair Regiment(Abn), so it jumped at this chance to PERSECUTE, not PROSECUTE, the SF.
Operational Security breaches gave them the chance.
First, the matter was discussed on non secured phone lines by CIA MORONS.
Second, Bob Marasco, who was a very sharp professional, had SIGNED OUT for the length of chain that was used to weigh down the body, so that enhanced the validity of the hearsay. Little stupid stuff like that. Nobody was prosecuted, but careers of some very good men were destroyed.

Unbelievable. “Terrorist attack?” A bunch of officers open the doors and usher what, at the time, amounted to sightseers inside, only for crowd plants to start agitating and cause the whole situation to metaphorically burst into flames.
The only people who died were attendees. If it was a terrorist attack, it was a huge failure. It’s messed up how it’s still causing Democrats to pee their pants.
