All these restaurant chains should just pay their workers minimum wage and then a bonus system based upon revenue. They’ll have no trouble keeping workers nor getting them to work hard.
More people need to do this, my company does profit sharing as of about 10 years ago and since we have people fighting to work here. However Applebee’s is publically traded, fiduciary obligation is to the shareholders, not the employees.
He's basically begging for a unionization campaign. I'm sure the franchisees are also thrilled at his comments. The board should step in and fire his sorry butt.
Companies that do some kind of profit sharing or revenue sharing do very well with their investors. Just look at how far Walmart went, and that was in RETAIL.
He said the quiet part out loud.
They can do that now? I haven’t been to a FF restaurant for a while.
When I had my teenage part-time job at KFC a million years ago, we were forbidden to accept tips. It was rare that a customer tried to tip us, but we were instructed to thank them and politely decline.
I think at places like McDonald's they might not have tips, but at Applebee's.
Fast food jobs have drug tests? I worked these jobs in the 70s. They would have no employees if they did that.
Not at KFC. None of the fast-food restaurants did back then.
I haven’t been to an Applebee’s, but I’m thinking they’re like Chili’s or other “sit-down” chain restaurants where there’s a place to add a tip on the bill?
Yes they do Memphis is a high illicit drug area. DQ is making new employees present JAB cards.
He’s the same type of putz who looks for distressed property sales...

With the correct government policies wages will adjust to a level where people can self support.
Trump was well on his way to accomplishing this, which is one more reason why he was removed from office.
However, the food and service has really gone downhill over the past 20 years. It seems like they just keep cutting corners to keep their margins up. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody unless you just want to sit at the bar and have some drinks. But if I'm going to go to a bar, the bars at Buffalo Wild Wings or Longhorns is much better.
There’s only five left in the entire state of South Carolina as several nationwide closed years ago. None are in the Charleston area anymore.
