Today and for the forseeable future we are reconsidering the whole Leader of the Free World concept.

The Poles don’t really like the Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Slovaks, Romanians, Czechs, Germans, French, or British. On the French/British I guess they do like them but they well remember how the French/British promised to protect them in 1939 and that turned out to be a promise that the French/British had no intention of keeping. On the Germans they especially didn’t like them due to WW2 and other past atrocities. However, they have forced themselves to be forgiving and admiring of the Germans for one very particular reason and its this .....
The Poles hate the Russians. Oh how they hate the Russians. And why they are helping the Ukrainians (who they really don’t like) so much is all rooted in their intense hatred towards the Russians. What you are seeing Russia do to Ukraine in 2022 has been done to Poland many times in the past few hundreds of years, particularly 1919-1920, 1939-1945, and their “Cold War” of 1945-1989. I don’t think I’ve emphasized this enough. The Poles hate the Russians.
I’ve lived/worked in Poland in the past. I’ve been to Poland many times. I’m not fluent, but do speak decent Polish & can understand most of what I hear when I watch Polish TV news & other programs & I have good comprehension when reading Polish news articles. I’ve given dozens of presentations in the Polish language so I can speak it some, though its difficult.
The actions of the Putin regime in Ukraine are indefensible.
But alas the despicable folks who think mass murder, mass rape, and mass destruction of property are okay are showing their true colors. They are HIMO(s) - Humans In Name Only.
