I can only speak for the corporate world because that is the only work environment I know.

Corporate America needs to wise up and offer, at the very least, a hybrid work situation where people can work from home 2 or 3 days a week and then come in the office the remainder of the time. I left the corporate world years ago and now am in semi retirement and work from an "office" in my home. There is no need to be in the office 5 days a week. The thought of commuting 5 days a week turns my stomach.

I will give you there is some of that happening, but there are a lot of people looking for ways to get off grid too.

Or a form of hybrid-off grid.

Many people learned something from the ‘free money moment of covid.’ They learned they could live with far less. Covid tweaked the idea of the family and bringing it back together.

Will inflation change that dynamic back to the double income family? I do not think so, not with food shortages looming. Someone has to tend the family garden or homestead. Because the big corporates are not going to feed your family even if you have the money.
