Or MLK Blvd...
Just saying.
Don’t forget the 10% for the Big B**ch!
You are probably right. I was in DC for classes during one of the economic downturns. The malls were empty at home but in DC it looked like Black Friday.
What I am suggesting is a one-time expense of moving government departments to different areas in the country. This would free up housing and keep the costs of running the government down. It also would make the government more responsive to the people that they write regulations for.
That’s just a minimum salary. And it’s a part time job.
It’s a part time job. And it comes with percs.
$45,000 to live and work in the DC area is poverty level.
Hush money??
“it comes with percs”
I bet....more than we know no doubt.
Don’t you just love how the clueless bureaucrats in D.C. spend our money willy nilly? No sweat off their backs...the money is someone else’s (ours).
Wrong!
Using a 40-hr week is not valid for government employees...
At best, they "work" for 10-15 hrs per week...
Most of their time is spent on things such as: a private business, watching porn, politics, sick leave, maternity leave, office poontang, union business, and liquid lunches...
About how many hours per week?
With one-bedroom apartments in decent parts of DC starting at $2500, it’s barely enough.
Congressmen and congresswomen should be paid $15 an hour, live in dormitories provided by taxpayers and get the use of a free laptop and phone which the contents of should be public property.
THAT would empty the Swamp.
I was thinking the same. $45k a year is scrape-by wages in DC.
