Hate to say but the Australians have treated their neighbors like crap what with the occasional act of imperialism, arbitrary interventions, and not to mention they literally run prison camps in their own country and lock people up for criticizing the government and the police.

China sucks out loud and it’s a notorious dictatorship but imagine how bad Australia has to be for its neighbors to welcome China?

If ever there was an example of the ‘Lesser of Two Evils’ this is it.

The fish will not go bad, because they will be eaten, all of them, sea beds stripped clean of all life to feed the hungry hoards.

“Looks like China is trying to do the same thing. But China is playing it smart. They’re using not guns, but butter.”

Well, the guns are there in case they don’t like the butter.

Forgot to add their waters will turn brown from all the raw human waste pumped overboard.

Samoa was formerly known as British Samoa. Before that it was a German possession.

My father was stationed for a while in British Samoa and also in American Samoa during World War II. He bought a book Everyday Samoan but I think he lost interest in the language after leaving the islands--but he didn't throw away the book.

Maybe Wang and Mata’afa will share the Nobel Peace Prize. A billion plus Chinese can now sleep easier, not having to worry about a surprise attack from Samoa.

“The fish will be gone after the loans go bad. Then they will have to reclaim their assets some other way. Perhaps the islanders will need our help when it comes to formulating their own cinco de mayo.”

Do you mean the kind of help we gave Afghanistan and Ukraine?

For their sake, I hope not!
