Bring it home from Europe. All of it.

Bring home our troops form there as well.

The time has come for the USA to stop propping up the Euro-pinkos.
= = =

And put it on the TEXAS BORDER.

"Now that it has come out of storage for the first time ever ..."

It has "come out" every year since before I enlisted in '72. The exercise is called REFORGER and it has seen the World Land Speed Record set by a Deuce and a Half going home from it.

Sorry, I don’t recall that issue ever being discussed.

“Huge cost to move all that equipment also. I guess
it could be sold to Europe Nations for a dollar or two.”

Why pay to move it when smugglers will do it for you, at no cost to taxpayers?

I expect to see tanks showing up in the Mexican drug cartels arsenals before Christmas. They already have decent RPGs, machineguns, grenades and mortars. I expect manpads from Ukraine to start arriving before school starts.

Have you seen the list of armaments we left for the Taliban in Afghanistan? Impressive...

Seven REFORGERs for me, six of them in units stationed in Germany, and one from a CONUS based unit. It was never great tactical training because of the maneuver limitations, but it taught the Army how to move, communicate, and sustain itself. It paid off in Desert Shield/Storm.

One of our toughest coordination issues was going to a previously-surveyed firing position to find an ADA radar unit set up on the same position.

Easiest solution would have been to locate an alternate firing position and have the Lance unit's survey section extend the survey.
